Hanging out in Costa Mesa, CA

Oh the days when you could roam around without having to worry about lethal viruses and wearing masks. Life is truly unpredictable and you just have to count your blessings; that’s exactly what I thought about when looking at these old photos. Well, it was from 3 years ago so maybe not that old? Anyways, we surely didn’t have to worry about social distancing that day when we wanted to get out of our apartment and explore. we didn’t want to go far so while checking out for cool local spots to visit, we found a couple of places that intrigued us. One was the Noguchi garden in Costa Mesa and the other was the LAB Anti-Mall, which is also in Costa Mesa.

The Noguchi garden is located right in between a couple of commercial buildings so that was a little unexpected; but soon after I realized that kind of public exposure is what makes it even cooler. Honestly, we are not really into arts or anything but still very much liked the vibe of the place. The garden as a whole is intended to represent the state of California in six different elements.

Next is the LAB Anti-Mall, which is just South of the Noguchi garden and hosts trendy retail shops, restaurants, and an art gallery. Also a hip place to go and hang out if you are tired of old shopping malls and their air conditioning (lol). With joking aside, this mall has that chill-vibe to it and its cute decorations throughout the mall, both inside and outside, makes it photo worthy as well.
